The San Diego Chapter of US Lacrosse has partnered with the Palomar YMCA in Escondido to provide introductory lacrosse clinics at six area elementary schools. The Palomar YMCA was also chosen to receive our Diversity and Inclusion grant funding to purchase 120 sticks, soft foam balls and six lacrosse goals. Through the YMCA's Legends program, each of the six schools will get a goal, twenty sticks and balls. In addition to the equipment, US Lacrosse San Diego is also providing coaches to work with each group to give instruction to the new players. We're also educating their staff so that they can continue to teach lacrosse once the initial clinics have finished. With this approach, the groups keep the equipment so lacrosse can become a part of their regular curriculum throughout the year.
